I thought it was worth mentioning a non-football story: Darrell “Shifty” Powers passed away. “Shifty” was one of the members of Easy Company in WWII. If you have seen the mini series Band of Brothers you may recognize the name.

I agree with the writer of blackfive.net, with all the hub-bub the media makes about entertainers when they pass, we really miss the boat on whose lives we should celebrate. A true hero like Darrell Powers should be one of them. Rest in Peace “Shifty”.
